Ok so maybe not exactly a road trip. We did drive down to Margaret River and back, checking out Voyager Estate, Leeuwin Estate, Stella Bella, Cape Mentelle and Xanadu wineries while we were there. Our tour guide Adam from Margaret River Wine Tours was awesome (we booked him through the Margaret River Visitor Centre, which is pretty comprehensive, and apparently funded by the businesses in the area in order for it to be run smoothly) and a great guy as well as being very knowledgeable about the area. All had their individual charm, but Stella Bella was probably my favourite with adorable labels and a very enthusiastic and down-to-earth chick helping us with our tasting. I like to think that’s how I would be if I was surrounded by wine all day.

The purpose of the trip was to go to the football (or for those of you less informed, the soccer). It’s always a good excuse to get away and go somewhere new, although aside from New Zealand and the Central Coast (obviously I have been there for other reasons) I will have now been to every away game available!

Back in Perth we also took the time out to visit some really great places, including Must Winebar, Little Creatures Brewery and The Beaufort Street Merchant.

I have been trying out some new camera techniques. Let me know what you think!
